In the United States, postpartum recovery can seem like a competitive sport. How fast you can get "back" to your pre-baby body/weight/jeans/life/etc. But what if we took a page from cultures around the world who focus on the postpartum period as a transition for the parents and the baby, and nurture and care for ourselves?
